Homemade Chocolate Syrup ~ Delicious and crazy easy.

ATTENTION Chocolate lovers!! Do you love making a glass of chocolate milk? How about a drizzle of that lovely syrup on top of your Ice Cream? A cup of hot chocolate on those cold mornings? Oh yes these are always good. Unfortunately if you are on a budget buying the Chocolate syrup can be expensive if you go through a lot of it, so it gets reserved for special occassions. Now for the good news! YOU can make it at home, for Pennies on the dollar AND it is every bit as good as your store bought name brand ~ Without all the preservatives :) YES Chocolate on DEMAND! I am in LOVE ;0)






This is one of those recipes where you just wonder "Why didn't I think of that?" Seriously it is so easy! So GOOD! When I think about all the money I have spent on my chocolate syrup over the years I become SO thankful for the internet! We can research and find so many recipes that have been handed down for generations. We can go back to a simpler time!  I have to thank +Jill Nystul of onegoodthingbyjillee.com for inspiring me to make this. I stumbled upon her website about a year and half ago ~ It was love at first site! She makes every day life so much easier with her quick tips & recipes!

Lets take the next 5 minutes and make this so you can enjoy a nice cup of hot chocolate to start your day!

Homemade Chocolate Syrup:

3 cups sugar
1 1/2 cup unsweetened baking cocoa powder (Your favorite Brand - I have used Nestle & Store brand and could tell no difference in the batches)
2 cup water
1/4 Tsp of salt
2 Tsp 100% Pure Vanilla Extract

1 Repurposed Squeeze bottle 

In a small saucepan, add sugar, cocoa, and salt.  

 Whisk together gently.

Add Water

Bring mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.  Reduce heat 

and cook 1 minute. 

Remove from heat and add vanilla. Allow it to Cool for a few minutes before storing in your container. Store in the refrigerator.
