Homemade Mineral Face "make up" powder
Have I got a treat for you ladies! You never have to buy your favorite mineral compact powder again! You can quickly and easily make it at home with just 2 ingredients and it literally only takes just a few minutes! You will have a all natural, mineral enriched face powder that is actually good for your skin AND instead of putting harmful chemicals on your skin to enter into your blood stream the one ingredient actually helps to remove toxins from your skin when mixed with water ~ Hello! Washing the make up off your face just got kicked up a notch!
Here is what you will need:
1 Tsp. (heaping) Bentonite Powder
5-6 Tsp. (Heaping) Cocoa Baking Powder
Powder / Compact container
Powder puff or brush
Your natural skin tone will dictate how much Cocoa Powder you add to the mix. I have more of an olive tone that tans easily and dark so I used 6 Tsp of the Cocoa and 1 Tsp of the Bentonite Clay. Mixed together well and then put into my little powder compact. The Bentonite clay is a whitish gray color which blends well for my skin tone. If you are a lighter complexion you would want to use 1/2 Bentonite powder and 1/2 Cornstarch to lighten it up and then start with 1 Tsp of the Cocoa, mixing well before each addition until you get it to match your skin tone.
The Bentonite Powder has so many healing properties and is so good for your skin. The Cocoa Powder is also good for you. It is high in antioxidants and helps to maintain healthy young looking skin. As Dermatologist Ava Shamban MD. says in an interview with Health.com "Cocoa can help make past skin sins ancient history! "It’s packed with antioxidants that help repair skin cells and neutralize harmful free radicals."
This Ladies is a change we can all live with..... Beautifully!
